This old tree root was kickin' around the goat pasture for the longest time, and kept catching my eye. It finally hit me, what a wonderful canvas for a wood duck! Standing at 8 inches high and 10 inches across, this piece is sold.

This 10 X 13 slab of wood is the canvas for this majestic buck. The epoxy finish gave it a very high gloss shine. My brother has it sitting on his mantle, held up by a pair of antlers.

As past member of the Gimli Art Club, I had the opportunity to take part in painting on the Gimli Sea Wall on Lake Winnipeg. It is known as one of the longest outdoor galleries around, displaying the works of many talented people. Here I am putting the finishing touches on one of two murals, this one entitled Faces of the Interlake.
